When Education is FLIPPED

books computer

Has anyone else heard of FLIPPING the instruction? The lessons happen at home. Using technology, teachers create the lessons to be viewed on different devices – computer, iPad, mobile devices etc. The “homework” happens at school. Aha!!

Check out Clintondale High School’s approach:

Curriculum content is right there on the website – actual lessons for english, math, science, and SS. The lessons alone are a good resource.

I bet there are other schools doing some version of this as well. The ability to have the lesson presented at home seems to allow for creative uses of the info in the classroom. Less in-class time spent presenting material and more time interacting with it and others. Neat!!

Very curious to know: What do you all think?
